![]() That way you can play each title individually to see just what it is, & optionally copy just that title, trimmed if you want, to another folder. The reason I mention this is not just to defend the WonderFox DVD Video Converter, but to go on to say that the best way to identify &/or isolate the different assets on a video DVD is by using DVD Shrink, IMHO anyway. TO make matters worse, 2 or more videos can be combined into one file, where for example to play one you in effect select a chapter, while "Play All" plays the entire file. IOW from the software's perspective, the only difference between a 30 second intro & the movie is the length - there's nothing saying what a video file is used for. IMHO it's because of the nature of video DVDs, where all titles are treated the same, whether they're a trailer, an intro/outro clip, an episode, extra, or movie. So no way of ripping all episodes from disk" In “Main Movie” mode, it just detects the “play all episodes” single file. #4: " Software failed to detect 6 of the 7 episodes on the disk. I still don't have my laptop back up and running - I have a TrueCrypt-encrypted system drive, so I'm having to decrypt that fully (10 hour process) before I can boot from a Win x86 repair disk.įortunately my workstation isn't encrypted, so at least I can use that otherwise my posts here may have contained slightly more colourful language! :-D ![]() I suspect it's a fairly rare set of circumstances that caused this. Though how this could happen is beyond me, since no software should be able to take out a JP just like that. ![]() To me this looks like the work of a very out-of-date (and poorly programmed?) installer, that takes no notice of junction points. I saw my unique user folder, plus three folders underneath that (didn't make a note of what they were). It looks like part of the user profile file structure is imposed in place of the junction point. I performed the same install/uninstall on a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro workstation and a 32-bit Windows 7 Pro laptop. ![]()
